The JSW Group on Sunday (June 23) celebrated Olympic Day in Paris by inaugurating an exhibition that honours Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the Olympic Movement, and commemorates India's 100-year presence at the Games.
The event was attended by IOC President Thomas Bach, Indian Ambassador to France Jawed Ashraf, and other dignitaries. The exhibition will be hosted at the Town Hall of the 7th Arrondissement in Paris until the end of the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games in September.

Sangita Jindal, Chairperson of the JSW Foundation, expressed her pride in supporting the "100 Years of India at Olympics" exhibition. She highlighted Pierre De Coubertin's vision of sport as a unifying force that transcends borders and fosters peace and friendship. The JSW Group is committed to nurturing sporting culture and talent in India, with the 2024 Olympics being an important milestone for them.
The exhibition, created in collaboration with the Pierre de Coubertin Family Association, showcases India's Olympic journey over the past century. It highlights past successes and looks towards future achievements.
Parth Jindal, Founder of the Inspire Institute of Sport, emphasised India's role in promoting the Olympic movement globally. He noted that nearly 30 athletes from the Inspire Institute of Sport will represent Team India at next month's Games. Jindal believes that sport is a powerful way to showcase a country's soft power and is committed to helping India excel on the world stage.
IOC President Thomas Bach praised Pierre de Coubertin as a visionary whose message of unity through sport is more relevant today than ever. Indian Ambassador Jawed Ashraf thanked the JSW Group for organising the exhibition, which will be open to the public until September 10.
