Jung finishes fifth in 10m Air Pistol in the Australia Cup

Sydney, Apr 21 (UNI) Ace Indian shooter Samaresh Jung finished fifth in men's 10m air pistol in the Australia Cup here.

Jung's 675 (576+99) was better than compatriots Vivek Singh and Ronak Pandit who shot 673 (575+98) and 671.5 (577+94.5) to finish seventh and eighth respectively in the event.

Amanpreet Singh finished ninth with a score of 575 while Deepak Sharma had a dissapointing last finish with 559. The gold in this event was won by Babii of Romania with a score of 683.7 (583+100.7).

In women's 10m air pistol, Anisa Sayyed shot 475.9 (377+98.9) to finish fourth. Sonia Rai finished seventh with 471.3 (375+96.3) while Annu Raj Singh finished 12th with a score of 370.

The gold in the event was won by Kostevych of Ukaraine with a score of 486.3 (387+99.3).
