Kaif to lead UP in All India Knock Out tourney

Kanpur, Mar 15 (UNI) Team India discard Mohd Kaif will captain the Uttar Pradesh squad in the All India Knock Out Cricket Tournament.

UP Cricket Association secretary P D Pathak said here today that at least four international cricket stars from the state would feature in the team.

They are Kaif, pacer R P Singh, leggie Piyush Chawla and south paw Jyoti Yadav.

Other members include Tanmay Srivastava, Ravi Kant Shukla, Praveen Kumar, Shalabh Srivastava, Avinash Yadav, Shivaknat Shukla, Ratnesh Mishra, Ali Murtaza, Parminder Singh, Anshul Kapoor, Utkarsh Chandra, Mohd Amir Khan and Bikram Joshi.

Former test player Gopal Sharma is the team manager, while Gyanendra Pandey is the coach.

The quarter finals will be played at Delhi, while the semi finals and final will be played at Jaipur on March 24 and 27 respectively.
