Kalmadi to sign host city contract of National Games

Panaji, Sep 12 (UNI) Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President Suresh Kalmadi and General Secretary Mr Randhir Singh will be arriving in Goa this Sunday to sign the host city contract of the 36th National Games, alloted to the city.

The Contract will be signed in the presence of Goa Chief Minister Digamber Kamat, Sports Minister Manohar Azgaokar, Sports Secretary Dr D M Mudassir(IAS), Director of Sports and Youth Affairs Dr Susana de Souza and Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) Executive Director Mr V M Prabhudesai from the Government side, while Goa Olympic Association (GOA) President Mr Subhash Shirodkar and Secretary Mr Gurudatta Bhakta will do the honours on behalf of the organisation.

The 34th National Games are slated to be held in the state of Jharkhand in December 2008 and 35th National Games will be held in Uttar Pradesh, a release issued by the Goa Olympic Association said here today.
