Karnataka champs in Subbiah Pillai
Hyderabad, Feb 16 (UNI) Karnataka emerged champions in the K S Subbaiah Pillai trophy South Zone one day cricket tourney defeating Hyderabad by six wickets in the final league match here today.
While Tamil nadu defeated Kerala by 46 runs, Goa won by eight wickets against Andhra in the last league outings.
Karnataka got 25 points in their five matches without loss. Tamil Nadu, with 18 points, remained second while Kerala with nine points were in third position.
Karnataka and Tamil Nadu qualified for the National-level Ranji one day Cricket to be held in West Zone later.
Rohit Barrington of Karnataka was the player of the tournament while Shabidin of Andhra was the highest wicket-taker.
