Chennai, Oct 14 (UNI) On yet another rain marred day, Karnataka, helped by skipper Ganesh Sathish's century, laboured to 250 for six against Goa at close on the second day of the four-day South Zone Under-22 cricket tournament for the P Ramachandra Rao Trophy here today.
Resuming at 71 for one, Karnataka lost three wickets, before Satish, who scored his third successive century of the tournament, added 129 for the fifth wicket in 49 overs with K C Avinash (43) to put the innings back on track.
Satish scored 140 in 257 balls with 15 fours. For Goa, medium- pacer Saurav Bandekar claimed four wickets.
Though the play started on time, rain stopped play ten minutes before tea at 1430 hrs. Wet ground conditions ruled out play till 1700 hrs.
After 25 minutes of play, bad light brought an end to the day's proceedings at 1725 hrs.
