Katich says slow SCG pitch will suit Pakistan

Sydney, Jan.1 (ANI): Australia opening batsman Simon Katich says Pakistan will be dangerous opponents on a slow SCG pitch in the second Test starting on Sunday.

Katich says the wicket is expected to take some turn.

"It's such a short turnaround, the key for us is to try to win that first hour come Sunday," The Age quoted Katich as telling reporters at the SCG today.

"That's always the toughest thing entering a new Test match.Pakistan played some good cricket throughout. They got through the game with some good performances as the game panned out. We're certainly wary of what they can throw at us," Katich added.

"The conditions here will no doubt suit them. The SCG spins a bit and it's a slower wicket so we know we're going to be in for a contest," Katich said. (ANI)
