Kerala CM congratulate Bindra for winning gold medal

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 11(UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today congratulated shooter Abhinav Bindra, who won the gold medal in Beijing.

The individual gold for India at the Olympics, the first-ever in the history of Indian Olympics, was a pointer to a vast change from the countries pathetic condition of sports in the world, an official release here said.

The Chief Minister expressed the hope that it would give encouragement to bring more laurels for the country.
