Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr believes Jonathan Kuminga has more to offer following his impressive performance against the Indiana Pacers. Despite the Warriors' 105-111 loss on Monday, Kuminga stood out with 26 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. The Warriors have lost 10 of their last 13 games and are set to face the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas Day.
Kerr highlighted Kuminga's display against the Pacers as a positive sign and hopes the 22-year-old can maintain this level of play. "This is the JK we want," Kerr said about Kuminga, who was the seventh pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. He praised Kuminga for spending time in the paint, taking care of the ball, and making some excellent passes.

Kerr specifically noted a beautiful play where Kuminga found Buddy Hield for a three-pointer and emphasized his aggressive approach. "I'm really proud of him for coming out, playing that way," Kerr added. He acknowledged Kuminga's elite skills at attacking the rim and drawing fouls, urging him to continue this style of play.
Stephen Curry also commended Kuminga's performance against Indiana. "I mean, he was probably the best player out there in the sense of attacking, being decisive," Curry remarked. He stressed that being decisive and aggressive allows players to live with mistakes while playing within the flow of the offense.
Curry observed how Kuminga got into the paint, secured extra possessions, hit open threes, and put pressure on the rim—actions unique to him on their team. "We love [an] energetic, confident JK," Curry stated. He believes that if Kuminga can string together similar performances, it will elevate their play and improve their chances of winning consistently.
The Warriors are eager to see more from Kuminga as they prepare for upcoming challenges. His ability to change games could be crucial for their success in future matches.
