Kesshni Bhasin Under-9 girls champion

New Delhi, May 17 (UNI) Kesshni Bhasin of Modern School, Vasant Vihar overcame her rival Vanshika Aggarwal of Covent of Jesus and Mary in the fourth and final round to win the Amity Delhi state Under-9 Girls Chess Championship.

Kesshni marched to the podium without much trouble in the entire championship. Vanshika finished second with three points.

Both are selected to represent Delhi State in national Under-9 Girls chess championship.

Meanwhile, in the under-9 open category, world silver medalist Prince Bajaj of DPS Ghaziabad is leading alongwith Soumya Sharma of Amity International School, Saket with four points out of as many rounds.

Bharat Gupta is third with 3.5 points. In top board Bajaj crushed Agamjot Singh Kals and in second board Soumya Sharma defeated Harshal Shahi after a tough fight.
