Kevin Durant Achieves Milestone As Eighth Player In NBA History To Score 30,000 Points

Kevin Durant scored his 30,000th point during a game against the Memphis Grizzlies, becoming the eighth player in NBA history to reach this milestone. Despite his achievement, the Phoenix Suns lost the match.

Ja Morant led the Memphis Grizzlies with 26 points, while Desmond Bane added 20 in their 119-112 victory over the Phoenix Suns. Kevin Durant of the Suns reached a milestone by becoming the eighth player in NBA history to score 30,000 points. Despite Durant's impressive 34-point performance, Phoenix suffered its fifth loss in six games.

Memphis had a strong rebounding game, outmatching Phoenix 60-42 and receiving significant contributions from their bench, which scored 44 points. Santi Aldama contributed 14 points, including four three-pointers. The Grizzlies built a substantial lead with a 13-3 run in the second quarter, featuring key plays from Scotty Pippen Jr. and Jaren Jackson Jr.

Durant Reaches 30,000 Points in NBA

Karl-Anthony Towns powered the New York Knicks to a 128-115 win against the Indiana Pacers with his 40-point and 12-rebound performance. Josh Hart supported with 30 points and ten rebounds. This victory marked New York's first win in Indianapolis since April 2023. Towns dominated early, scoring 24 points in the first half.

The Knicks gained control with a decisive 10-0 run in the second quarter for a halftime lead of 68-60. Although Indiana narrowed the gap to four late in the third quarter, New York pulled away again. The Knicks capitalised on their rebounding advantage, outscoring Indiana on second-chance opportunities.

Malik Beasley was instrumental for the Detroit Pistons as they crushed the Chicago Bulls 132-92. Beasley made seven three-pointers, setting a new franchise record for threes in a season with 212. Detroit established a commanding lead by halftime, outscoring Chicago by an unprecedented margin of 42 points.

Cade Cunningham contributed significantly with his all-around play, adding 20 points, seven assists, and six rebounds. Tobias Harris and Ausar Thompson also chipped in with double-digit scores as Detroit secured their third consecutive win. The Bulls struggled offensively, missing their first twenty three-point attempts before Ayo Dosunmu finally connected.

The Grizzlies have shown resilience this season by bouncing back after losses; they are now at an impressive record of 14-3 following defeats. They have not lost consecutive games since early January. Meanwhile, despite Durant's historic achievement, Phoenix continues to face challenges on their current losing streak.
