With participation from 39 teams across the globe, this historic event signifies a major step in establishing Kho Kho as a globally recognized sport.

The tournament will feature matches in both the Men's and Women's categories, offering fans an action-packed week of high-intensity competition.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for January 13, followed by the tournament opener between India and Nepal.
Star Sports will telecast the event on Star Sports 1 HD and Star Sports First, with Doordarshan providing regional coverage. Additionally, Disney+ Hotstar will serve as the OTT partner for digital streaming, ensuring fans worldwide can enjoy the matches live.
The Men's category will see 20 teams divided into four groups:
Group A: India, Nepal, Peru, Brazil, Bhutan
Group B: South Africa, Ghana, Argentina, Netherlands, Iran
Group C: Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, South Korea, USA, Poland
Group D: England, Germany, Malaysia, Australia, Kenya
India will face Nepal in the opening match of the tournament on January 13 at 8:30 pm IST. The league stage will conclude on January 16, setting the stage for the playoffs starting January 17. The Men's final is scheduled for January 19 at 8:15 pm IST, promising an electrifying conclusion to the championship.
The Women's competition features 19 teams also split into four groups:
Group A: India, Iran, Malaysia, South Korea
Group B: England, Australia, Kenya, Uganda, Netherlands
Group C: Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Germany, Bangladesh
Group D: South Africa, New Zealand, Poland, Peru, Indonesia
The Women's opening match pits England against Australia on January 14 at 11:45 am IST. India's campaign kicks off later that day with a match against South Korea at 7:00 pm IST. Like the Men's tournament, the Women's group stage ends on January 16, with playoffs starting January 17. The Women's final will take place on January 19 at 7:00 pm IST, setting up a grand finale.
The top two teams from each group, along with the two best-performing third-placed teams, will advance to the quarterfinals. From there, the tournament proceeds to the semifinals and finals.
