Kiran leads in points tally

Hyderabad, May 27 (UNI) Second seed Kiran Manisha Mohanty kept her slender half a point lead over top seed and her statemate Padmini Rout at the end of penultimate round in the 34th National Women-B Chess Championship here today.

Playing with blacks, Kiran using her experience defeated Ramya Krishna of Andhra Pradesh, while top seed Padmini Rout, playing with blacks, quelled Divyasri of Andhra Pradesh to retain her second position.

Defending champion Sai Meera of BSB defeated Swati Mohoto of West Bengal, sharing the third spot with Harini of Tamil Nadu.
