Jamshedpur,Oct 4 (UNI) The country's oldest football club Mohan Bagan and Federation cup winner East Bengal would play exhibition matches against Tata Football Academy (TFA) here at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on October 12 and 14 respectively.
Prior to the match Mohan Bagan footballers would take part in an extensive training camp here from October 9 to 11 however East Bengal would arrive here on October 13.
'' Apart from these two exhibition matches, TFA is also planning to invite some premier soccer clubs from overseas as a part of Tata Steel's Centenary celebrations,'' newly-appointed vice-president (Corporate Services) of the company Partha Sengupta said.
He said TFA had also chalked out plans to tap young footballbers from the tribal belts where the company has plants or the areas where new plants are coming up.
Mr Sengupta said as a part of that programme more than 23 tribal boys were picked up from Orissa's Kalinga Nagar after a week-long selection trial. The boys were invited at the TFA here for a camp which began yesterday, he added.
