The start of May promises fireworks, as ONE Championship has announced the headliner of its upcoming ONE Fight Night 31. Kongthoranee Sor Sommai and Nong-O Hama are set to deliver Muay Thai magic on 3 May at the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
The non-title flyweight Muay Thai contest will be a rematch of their February clash, where #2-ranked contender Kongthoranee narrowly defeated the living legend. Both these strikers went toe-to toe, but it was 28-year-old star whose attacks proved more impactful.

Former eight-time ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O has accomplished everything the striking world has to offer. However, his performance over the past two years have come under scrutiny.
The veteran of more than 300 fights is determined to prove that he still has some magic up his sleeves. Nong-O made his ONE debut in 2018, winning the inaugural ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title the following year. He remained undefeated until 2023, when he dropped his title to Jonathan Haggerty.
Since then, the former Lumpinee Stadium and Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion has been trying to start another win streak late in his Illustrious career. But Nong-O's hands will be full against the explosive fighting style of his opponent.
Meanwhile, the 10-year-younger Kongthoranee has been on a tear since his ONE debut. First, the Thai hard-hitter earned the six-figure contract with his exceptional performance at ONE Friday Fights. Later, he established himself as a mainstay of the flyweight Muay Thai division.
With a promotional record of 11-2, the Sor Sommai star will look to extend his winning streak to four and silence those who believe his last win over Nong-O was a fluke. A win for either man could put them in contention for the vacant strap.
In the co-main event, undefeated ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Champion Tye Ruotolo will defend his crown against the dangerous phenom in Dante Leon. The two-time IBJJF No-Gi World Champion has all the tools to dethrone the regning king of the division.
