Kozhikode likey to host NPFL

Kozhikode, Nov 17 (UNI) Kozhikode is likely to host home series of 'Viva Kerala' in National Professional Football League (NPFL) this December.

Kozhikode District Football Association (KDFA) Secretary Mohammed Najeeb today said Chief Referee's Instructor Antony John D'Costa, who inspected the Kozhikode Corporation Stadium, had expressed satisfaction on the stadium's capacity to host the national event.

However, a final decision on the issue would be taken by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) after going through his recommendations, he said.

Mr Najeeb said Mr D'Costa had suggested various measures to improve amenities in the stadium.
