KSEB starts campaign beating SDAT Chennai

Chennai, June 6 (UNI) Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) Thiruvananthapuram started their campaign on a winning note thrashing local outfit SDAT in four sets in the St Josephs P John Memorial All India Volleyball tournament here today.

In a Group B men's match, the powermen from Thiruvananthapuram, not withstanding the second set loss, powered their way to an emphatic win 25-16, 19-25, 25-19, 25-19 and gained full points.

In the women's section, Western Railway Maharashtra defeated GKM Volleyball club 25-17, 25-14 and Southern Railway thrashed St Joseph's college of Engineering 25-16, 25-13 in a Group A matches to collect full points.

Earlier, in a late last night encounter, IOB men defeated Nellai Friends 25-20, 25-20, 25-18.
