K'taka to host South Zone Swimming meet

Davanagere, Karnataka, Sep 29 (UNI) The city will host a four-day South Zone Swimming Competition for Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) institutions here, from October 2.

K Imam, Director, Shamanur Shivashankarappa English Medium Residential School, said the event will be held for both boys and girls, divided into four age categories.

As many as 625 children from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh,Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar will vie for top honours,he said.

Ekalavya Awardee and Olympian H S Habebulla will inaugurate the event, he added.
