La Liga: El Clasico: Barcelona vs Real Madrid Preview

Barcelona, Oct 7: Reigning La Liga champions Real Madrid visit the Camp Nou to face fierce rivals Barcelona. The Catalans hope to continue their 100 percent start while Los Blancos will be desperate to earn three points after a shaky start to the new season.

La Liga: El Clasico: Messi and Ronaldo settle scores

Real star Cristiano Ronaldo is in sublime form this season scoring six goals while Barca's Lionel Messi has also been in fine form with six goals in seven games.

Barca boss Tito Vilanova will be hoping centre-back Gerard Pique is fit as new signing Alex Song is being played as a makeshift defender along side Javier Mascherano. Carles Puyol and Thiago Alcantara remain sidelined with injuries.

For Real, playmakers Luka Modric, Mesut Ozil and Kaka will be fighting for a starting place. Kaka, 30, impressed during the away game against Ajax in the Champions League.

European player of the year Andres Iniesta returned after missing out the start of the season. The 28-year old is likely to replace Cesc Fabregas in midfield. David Villa, who scored the winner against Sevilla, could start for the Catalans in place of striker Alexis Sanchez.

Barcelona are currently leading the La Liga table with 18 points winning all six of their games while Real Madrid are on eighth place with 10 points.

The last time these two sides met was in the Spanish Super cup which Real won 2-1.
