Lahiri maintains two-stroke lead at LG Amateur Golf

Greater Noida, Aug 1 (UNI) Doha Asian Games silver medallist Anirban Lahiri shot a level par 72 to maintain a two-stroke lead atop the leaderboard with three under 141 at the LG Amateur Golf Championship here today.

Lahiri started with a bogey on the 11th hole. But after a series of pars, he fired a birdie on the 18th to make the turn at level par.

On his return leg, he birdied the fourth but ended his round with a bogey on the ninth where his tee shot found the water body.

Meanwhile, Ajeetesh Sandhu, who teed off today, brought in the day's best card of three under 69 to take the second place with a total of one under 143, while Manav Das shot a two under 70 to be placed fourth at 144.

Mithun Perera fired an equally impressive round of 69 to occupy the fifth place at 145 while Lakra was placed sixth at 146 after shooting a 73 today.

Pawan Kumar shot a 72 to share the seventh place with Abhishek Jha at 148.
