Lalit Modi files unconditional apology before HC
Jaipur, Jan 13 (UNI) Rajasthan Cricket Association president Lalit Modi has filed an unconditional apology before the High Court for contempt of court.
The High Court yesterday, however, stayed the decision for a week till the hearing of the case.
A lower court had formed a special committee to probe the irregularities and unwanted expenditure during the Champions Trophy in Jaipur last year. The hearing in the case started on Oct 11.
Mr Modi allegedly made some obejectionable comments against the lower court's orders and subsequently a petition was filed against Mr Modi's reportedly objectionable comments.
Judge Dalip Singh started hearing the case on Jan 11 this year, wherein Mr Modi's counsel Kamlakar Sharma and Naina Saraf filed an unconditional apology on his behalf.
