Lampard dreams of playing alongside Rooney for his club

London, Aug 15(ANI): Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has revealed that Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney is his dream team-mate.

Lampard, who played along with Rooney during England's match against Holland on Wednsday, said that he would love to have him in his club side too.

"Wayne is the most talented player I have ever played alongside," The Sun quoted Lampard, as saying.

"As a midfielder, as soon as I get on the ball I want to play it in behind the other team's midfield or defence," he added.

The 31-year-old further revealed how highly he rates Rooney as a striker.

"I need someone to be ahead of that action, already getting into a good position. As you learn to play with Wayne, you realise that his awareness is exceptional. It's his key strength," Lampard said.

He also said that Rooney is an incredible player and would get into any club or international side in the world. (ANI)
