Lampard hopes to recreate last season's "great run-in" to sweep trophy board

By Super Admin

London, Mar 9(ANI): Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard wants his team to recreate their last season's form this time around and sweep the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup trophies.

Chelsea ended last season as FA Cup winners, and Lampard wants a repeat performance now in all competitions for coach Carlo Ancelotti.

"We had a great run-in last year and let's hope we do it again. We've certainly got it in us. Every team has faltered at times this year. It's important now and the team that pushes forward and goes on a consistent run can go and win the league and do what they want," The Sun quoted Lampard, as saying.

"Consistency and having a winning habit is very important. We need to take that from our FA Cup win against Stoke," he added.

Though Chelsea lost 4-2 to Manchester City in their last Premier League match, the 31-year-old has backed the setback as a possible turning point in the Blues' title run.

"Hopefully that result can make us more aware and make sure we get back on it, especially at home, for the rest of the season," Lampard said. (ANI)
