Lance Armstrong erases Tour de France titles from Twitter

Los Angeles, Oct 23: A day after he was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles and banned for life, Lance Armstrong has updated his twitter account, deleting the phrase "7-time Tour de France winner".

The world cycling body, International Cycling Union (UCI), erased Armstrong's seven Tour de France titles on Monday and the dope-tainted American was quick to accept the decision and remove the titles from his twitter account.

On his updated twitter page (@lancearmstrong), he wrote "Raising my 5 kids. Fighting Cancer. Swim, bike, run and golf whenever I can."

Earlier it had "Father of 5 amazing kids, 7-time Tour de France winner, full time cancer fighter, part time triathlete."

Armstrong was the talking point on twitter on Monday and also today as most of them joked at the disgraced cyclist.

The common line found on twitter was "I have the same number of Tour de France titles as Lance Armstrong."
