Lanka team leaves after high-way 'drama'
Chennai, Feb 18 (UNI) After loosing 2-1 to India, the visiting Sri lankan Cricket team had a further dose of misery on their way back to Colombo when a bus in which they were proceeding to a hotel for a brief halt, broke down forcing them to stand on the raod for a while.
Official sources said the people passing-by were surprised to find the team standing on the highway leading to the hotel.
The police who blocked the traffic for the team to proceed had tense moments for some time.
However, they managed to bring 10 cars and took them to the hotel, the sources said.
Earlier, the Lankans arrived here at 1530 hrs from Vishakapatnam where the final ODI was played yesterday to board a flight to Colombo at 2100 hrs tonight.
The team left by an Air Lanka flight around 2100 hrs, the sources said.
