LeBron James And Son Bronny Make NBA History Together In Lakers' Victory

In a historic moment, LeBron and Bronny James became the first father-son duo to play together in the NBA during the Lakers' win over the Timberwolves. This milestone highlights their unique achievement in professional basketball.

In a historic NBA moment, LeBron James and his son Bronny played together for the first time. This occurred during the Los Angeles Lakers' 110-103 win against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The father-son duo shared the court for nearly two and a half minutes in Bronny's debut. They are the first father and son to play simultaneously in the NBA, let alone on the same team.

Anthony Davis delivered an outstanding performance for the Lakers, scoring 36 points and grabbing 16 rebounds. LeBron contributed 16 points, while Rui Hachimura added 18. JJ Redick celebrated his first victory as head coach of the Lakers, marking his debut in coaching after a 15-year playing career in the NBA.

Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 27 points. Despite their strong season last year, they couldn't overcome the Lakers' dominance. Julius Randle scored 16 points and secured nine rebounds, while Donte DiVincenzo added 10 points in their first game for Minnesota following Karl-Anthony Towns' trade to New York three weeks prior.

Davis was crucial in the final moments, contributing to 13 of Los Angeles' next 15 points after returning with just over seven minutes left. LeBron sealed the victory with a decisive three-pointer. LeBron has now joined Vince Carter as one of only two players to have played in 22 NBA seasons.

The Boston Celtics tied an NBA record by making 29 three-pointers in their commanding 132-109 victory over the New York Knicks. Jayson Tatum led Boston with 37 points and eight threes, continuing their celebration of winning their 18th championship title. Derrick White added 24 points, and Jaylen Brown contributed another 23.

The Celtics had a significant lead of up to 35 points but missed their last 13 attempts from beyond the arc while trying to break Milwaukee's record set in 2020. The crowd encouraged them with chants for one more three-pointer, but Payton Pritchard let the clock run out without attempting another shot.

Jalen Brunson was New York's top scorer with 22 points, while new addition Karl-Anthony Towns managed only 12 points and seven rebounds. Despite offseason changes aimed at challenging Boston's dominance in the Eastern Conference, including acquiring Towns and Mikal Bridges, New York fell short against last season's leaders by a wide margin.
