Letting Tevez slip through is not end of the world for Man U: Ferguson

By Super Admin

London, Jan 17(ANI): Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson insists that he has no regrets about letting forward Carlos Tevez slip through his fingers and sign for rivals Manchester City.

Tevez has been in devastating form for the past two months scoring 11 goals in nine games, which has led supporters to question Fergie's wisdom in not making an effort to sign the Argentine striker on a permanent basis during his two-year loan spell at United.

"It's no issue for me. We made a pitch, he didn't take it, he went to Man City. It's no problem for us, we move on. It's not the end of the world for us," News of The World quoted Ferguson, as saying.

"He's done well, so be it. I've got no issues at all about it. I've got no regrets about it," he added.

United stalled on paying the 25 million pounds Tevez's agents demanded for his signature and by the time Old Trafford's officials agreed, the Argentine had already committed himself to City.In signing for Manchester City, Tevez became the first player to move between the two Manchester clubs since Terry Cooke moved from United to City in 1999.
