Lito Adiwang is on a mission to climb to the top of ONE Championship's strawweight MMA mountain. And after back-to-back victories since returning from injury, a pivotal victory over Danial Williams at ONE Fight Night 19: Haggerty vs. Lobo would certainly put him in the upper echelon of contenders.
"Thunder Kid" meets the aggressive Aussie on Saturday, 17 February, inside Lumpinee Boxing Stadium. As far as nicknames go, Adiwang has certainly lived up to his in recent outings. And a key ingredient to him winning will be the similar fighting philosophy that "Mini T" brings to competition.

In fact, the pair have been known to bring the fireworks from the first bell to the last. And if the ferocious Filipino has his way, February's fisticuffs in Bangkok, Thailand, won't see the distance.
"We all know Danial always shows up to fight. We've seen him step up and compete against the best strikers in the world. I'm just thinking, he's here to fight all the best strikers, and I want to prove that I belong on the list," Adiwang said.
"If all goes well as planned, I know that I'll be able to finish him by KO or submission. This won't go past the second round."
Prior to his return at ONE Friday Fights 34 last September, Adiwang was forced to spend 18 months on the shelf due to a knee injury suffered at ONE X in March 2022. The prolonged absence gave him time to rebuild and remap his strawweight strategy.
Beforehand, Adiwang would have been happy to break into the top five. But not anymore. Reaching the upper-class of fighters will only prove his plan is working. Now, "Thunder Kid" won't stop until all comers have been toppled and the ONE Strawweight MMA World Title is around his waist.
"The division is moving and I love it. It's good for our division. I've visualized that by the end of the year, I'll be challenging for the belt already. There are a lot of great fights for me in the future, like Bokang [Masunyane] and [Gustavo] Balart. I really want to face them," Adiwang confessed.
"For me, being in the top five doesn't excite me. The only thing that excites me is winning and getting that title shot. I don't want to fight for some rankings. I want to get a World Title shot. That's what will excite me."
