By MyKhel Staff

Chinese striking sensation Liu Mengyang shared his thoughts after claiming the biggest victory of his career by flooring ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai in just 52 seconds at ONE Friday Fights 137 on 19 December.

The 22-year-old closed off 2025 with arguably the biggest upset of the year in their featherweight kickboxing encounter. Liu's devastating leg kicks dismantled the 26-year-old Thai in stunning fashion before a shocked Lumpinee Stadium crowd in Bangkok, Thailand.

The TKO result improved Liu's career record to 35-7 and ONE mark to 3-1. His previous promotional victories include a stunning upset of Masaaki Noiri in his debut and a triumph over Shadow Singha Mawynn in September.

Despite the magnitude of his victory, Liu showed genuine concern for his fallen opponent. The Chinese striker expressed worry about Tawanchai's leg injury and hoped the Thai would recover quickly from the devastating damage he inflicted.

"I feel very happy and very excited, but at the same time I'm a little worried about Tawanchai. I saw he hurt his leg and I'm a little worried about him. I hope he can recover soon," Liu said.

"I thought I would definitely get a KO because I did a lot of psychological training and a lot of real training. So, I think I could definitely do a KO. I knew it. I knew this was going to happen."

The Chinese striker's ability to predict and execute such a spectacular finish demonstrates his elite-level preparation and understanding of his opponent's vulnerabilities. Liu identified Tawanchai's lead leg as the target and executed his strategy with devastating precision.

Now riding the momentum of this career-defining victory, Liu wasted no time calling out reigning ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon. The Chinese sensation believes defeating Tawanchai positions him perfectly for a title shot against the Thai legend.

"I think that beating him is very important for my career because this fight will make me closer to the championship and closer to my dream. For my next match, I want the belt, Superbon. Your belt! It's time to put it on my shoulder," Liu said.
