Logo of 16th Indian National Blind Sports Meet released

Chandigarh, Oct 16 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today released the logo for the 16th Indian National Blind Sports Meet being hosted for the first time in the state by 'Punjab Sports Association for the Blinds' from November 17 to 20 at Guru Nanak Stadium Ludhiana.

As many as 1000 players from all over the country would participate in the championship to compete for four different sports disciplines including track races (100mts, 200mts, 400mts, 800mts, 1500mts and 5000mts), long jump, javelin and shot-put throw.

Appreciating the efforts of the association for holding this meet in the region, the Chief Minister assured them that state government would extend fulsome support and cooperation for the successful completion of the meet.
