London to host coaches conference in August

Bengaluru, July 26: The third International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Coaches Conference will be held in London from August 7 to 10.

Speakers at the conference include individuals who have made a difference in the field of coaching throughout the years and who are active in the development of top athletes and education of other coaches.

The conference will be held along the sideline of the World Athletics Championships to be held in London from August 5 to 13.

Unlike previous editions when the conference was held the day after the championships conclude, this year's event is taking place during the event on the mornings when there are no competition sessions.

IAAF President Sebastian Coe will address the opening session.

Speakers who have confirmed for the meet include Loren Seagrave, coach to two-time Olympic 400M hurdles champion Angelo Taylor and Shaun Pickering, an Olympian who served as head of heavy throws in the UK for three years.
