New Delhi, Aug 30: Indian wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt today (August 30) confirmed that his London Olympics 2012 bronze medal has been upgraded to silver after Russain Besik Kudukhov tested positive for a banned substance.
Yogeshwar says sorry
Yogeshwar had claimed bronze in men's 60kg freestyle in London Games 4 years ago. Now, with the original silver medallist Kudukhov failing a dope test, Yogeshwar receives silver.

The wrestler took to the micro-blogging website Twitter to confirm the news. "This morning, I got to know that my bronze medal has been upgraded to silver. I dedicate this medal too, to all the Indians," Yogeshwar tweeted on Tuesday.
As per Russian agency, flowrestling.org, the 4-time world champion and 2-time Olympic medallist Kudukhov, who had died in a car crash in 2013 in southern Russia, has been found positive for dope test conducted by the World Anti-Doping Agency.
On whether and when Yogeshwar, who had bowed out in the first round of men's 65kg freestyle at the recently concluded Rio Olympic Games, would be handed a silver medal will be confirmed only when the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) gets it in writing from the World body (UWW).
