Ludhiana youth wins Shimla Motorcycle challenge

Shimla, Jan 28 (UNI) As many 25 bikers participated in the Shimla Motorcycle Challenge 2008 yesterday, in three different categories, based upon cubic capacity and the levels of modification of the bikes. A spokesman said here.

Rajan Sidhu Dhang of Ludhiana astride a Bajaj Pulsar 180, emerged the fastest rider overall covering the 7.70 km long track in a best time of 10:32 min.

Winner of Category-D was Parishrut Singh Jhina of Panchkula.He completed the entire lap in 10:53 min on a non-modified Honda Unicorn.

On a Pulsar 150 Piyush Chauhan swept the honours in the Himachal Category with a best time of 11:28 min.

Director of the Federation of Motor Sports Club of India. SPS Garcha, Mr. Siddharth Agarwal from the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd and Prithvi Singh from the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Government of Himachal Pradesh, handed over the trophies to the winners.
