Despite this achievement, Doncic expressed relief that the game was over.

Doncic's post-game reflections revealed mixed emotions. He described the experience as overwhelming, with little sleep leading up to it. "It was just a lot of emotions and not much sleep," he said. "I can't even explain [it]. It was a different game... Sometimes I don't know what I was doing. And I'm just glad it's over, honestly." Having spent seven years with the Mavericks, Doncic acknowledged that moving past this game would benefit him in the future.

LeBron James, Doncic's new teammate, spoke about the emotional toll of leaving a franchise where one has invested so much. "Obviously, there's a lot of emotion that goes in when you give so much to a franchise," James noted. He praised Doncic for handling the situation well despite its challenges. Redick advised embracing these situations rather than ignoring them, stating that acknowledging them is healthy before focusing on playing.
