Mah CM announces Rs 5 lakh award for Sushil Kumar

Mumbai, Aug 20 (UNI) Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today announced a cash prize of Rs five lakh for ace wrestler Sushil Kumar for winning a bronze medal in the 66-kg freestyle wrestling in the ongoing Beijing Olympics.

Mr Deskmukh, while congratulating Sushil for winning the second medal for India, said Sushil had defeated his Kazak opponent and made the country proud, according to an official release.
