Mah wins the top honour at SGFI for the third time
Pune, Mar 28 (UNI) Maharashtra boys and girls finished in a blaze of glory winning a total of 379 medals, which included 109 gold, 135 silver and 135 bronze medals in the 31 disciplines of sports, conducted by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI), and captured the top honour for the third year in succession.
SGFI secretary general Dr Abadh Kishore Mishra said in a release here today that Delhi with a tally of 171 medals includes 76 gold, 50 silver and 45 bronze were placed runnerup, while West Bengal with a total tally of 159 incluing 57 gold, 46 silver and 53 claimed the third slot. Karnataka was placed fourth with a total of 116 with 54 gold, 32 silver and 30 bronze.
As many as 38 states affiliated to the SGFI took part in 31 disciplines of sports.
