Maharashtra lifts Vinoo Mankad trophy

Chennai, Jan 21 (UNI) A fine century by Nikhil Paradkar helped Maharashtra defeat Mumbai by 96 runs and annexe the under-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy here today.

Electing to bat first Maharashtra recovered from 130 for five in 24 overs, to post a mammoth 302 for six in 50 overs.

Nikhil Paradkar (111, 125 balls, 8x4) and Sangram Aditkar (52, 63 balls, 3x4) added 105 in 111 balls, to guide Maharashtra to a big total.

In reply, Mumbai were never in the hunt and were all out for 206 in 42 overs.
