Maharashtra State ranking carrom tournament from Jan 22
Mumbai, Jan 15 (UNI) The first Maharashtra State ranking prize money Carrom tournament would be held at the Shivaji Park Gymkhana here from January 22 to 26.
The tournament organised by the Shivaji Park Gymkhana in association with the Mumbai District Carrom Association and Maharashtra Carrom Association will be held in two events - Men Singles and Women Singles, a release issued here today stated.
Around 450 players and officials from 18 major carrom playng districts of Maharashtra are expected to participate in the tournament.
The tournament will have a total prize money of Rs 50,000 in addition to trophies and Certificates of Merit and Participation.
There will also be prizes for Break-to-finish and Black to finish.
Parvinder Singh from Mumbai and Suhas Karbhari from Raigad have been nominated as Chief Referees for this tournament, while international umpire Janardan Sangam has been nominated as technical director for the tourney, the release added.
