Manipur, Jharkhand enter semis

Puducherry, Jan 15 (UNI) Defending champion Manipur and Jharkand entered the semi-finals of the fifth Junior National Girls Football Tournament here today.

In the quarter final league encounter, Manipur defeated West Bengal 3-0 to collect full points. Manipur had so far nine points in its kitty winning all the three quarterfinal league matches.

In the other match, Jharkand outplayed Chhattisgarh 2-0 to reach the last four.

Tamil Nadu and last year's runner up Orissa are also expected to book their semi-final berth. The teams will play their last quarter final league matches tomorrow.
