Manju to lead Indian squad for Olympic qualifiers against Myanmar

New Delhi, Feb 5 (UNI) Mahindra United and Karanataka defender N S Manju will lead a 20-member Indian squad to play against Myanmar in the Beijing Olympic qualifiers at Yangon, Myanmar, on February 7.

The squad comprised mostly of India Under 21 players as Olympic competitions are Under 21 affairs with three over-aged players permitted to be included in each country's squad.

Newly appointed AIFF Technical Director Collin Toal will coach the side in the absence of Bob Houghton who has left for South Africa for an impending surgery.

India will play the return leg of the Olympic qualifiers at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on February 14.

The Squad: NS Manju (Captain), Subrata Paul, Subhashis Roy Chowdhury, Arindam Bhattacharya, Rocus Lamare, Debabrata Roy, Gourmangi Singh, Sunil Kumar, Gurjinder Singh, Mehtab Hussein, Chandam Chitrasen Singh, Praveen Rawat, Habibur Rehman Mondal, Tarif Ahmed, Syed Rahim Nabi, D Ravanan, Manjit Singh, Rakesh Masih, Sushil Kumar Singh, Branco Cardozo.
