Manu Bhaker, jack of all trades and master of one

Bengaluru, March 6: Manu Bhaker is the toast of the nation after winning two gold medals in the World Cup shooting in Mexico.

But Manu is not just a shooter. If anything, she is a master of many crafts. She took to shooting seriously only in 2016 when her father Ram Kishan Bhaker, an engineer in Merchant Navy hailing from Haryana, gave her pistol after his daughter's constant pestering.

In two years, Manu, all of 16, has made the world sit up and notice her.

Here's a quick look at many sides of Manu

1. Manu is a state level boxer and has been training from when she was 6.

2. Besides boxing, Manu is also proficient in Tang Ta - a Manipuri martial art and karate. She has won national level competitions in these martial art forms.

3. Manu has won national level skating competitions.

4. Manu has also an accomplished athlete, winning several school and state level meets.

5. Manu has 10 CGPA in her Board exams and hopes to become a doctor.

6. After having initial coaching with Naresh, Manu is undergoing advanced training under renowned shooter Jaspal Rana.
