MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar...? - Manu Bhaker Names Four Sportspersons She Would Love to Spend a Whole Day With

By Priyanka

India's shooting icon Manu Bhaker has picked four sportspersons she would want to spend a whole day with. Interestingly, the double Olympic bronze medallist, has named the Jamaican legendary sprinter Usain Bolt as her first pick from overseas.

Among the Indian sportspersons, she has named the legendary cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. She added it would be an honour to even spend an hour with any one of them. Interestingly, she didn't pick Neeraj Chopra's name, with whom she has a great camaraderie.

Manu Bhaker, who has been on a break since leading the Indian contingent as the flagbearer along with PR Sreejesh at the Paris Olympics 2024 closing ceremony, has been seen actively attending media sessions and interviews. She was also featured on the cover of a recent edition of "Cosmopolitan" Magazine.

"Maybe I'll name a few of my favourites. Usain Bolt [Jamaican runner] is one of them-I've read his book so many times and I've known his journey as well as I've watched so many of his interviews too. And then, in India, cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, Dhoni sir [MS Dhoni], and Virat Kohli. It would be an honour to spend even an hour with any of them!," Manu Bhaker told Cosmopolitan.

Manu Bhaker will not be seen at any shooting range for next three months

At the Paris Olympics 2024, Manu Bhaker scripted history for India after clinching two bronze medals in a single Olympic edition. In the women's 10m air pistol event, she emerged as the first female shooter from India to secure a medal at the Olympics.

Later, she secured another bronze medal in the mixed 10m air pistol team event along with her fellow teammate Sarabjot Singh, emerging as the first Indian athlete to win two medals at an Olympic event since India's Independence.

After returning to India from the Games, Manu Bhaker told PTI that she would be on a three-month break. She talked about her bruised hand as a result of her intense training in the lead-up to the Olympics.
