The aggressive tactics and attacking style of second seedShorbagy proved too good for the defensive, consistent styleof play adopted by top seed Kamran Khan of Malaysia in thefinal, leading to a 11-3 11-8 12-10 victory for the former whopocketed the top prize of Rs 1.5 lakh.

Kamran saved two match points in the final game to drawlevel at 10-10, but a backhand error followed by a forehandwinner by his rival ended his hopes.

In the women''s title clash, top seed and world No. 20Delia packed too much firepower for her second seededcountrywoman Siti Munirah Jusoh to handle and won 11-2 11-611-9 without any hint of trouble.

Mahesh Mangaonkar, who lost to Kamran in three straightgames in the men''s semifinal, and Saumya Karki, the top seedsin the boys and girls under 19, emerged comfortable winners intheir categories.
