Mather and Platt retain title

Pune, Feb 19 (UNI) Mather and Platt retained the title in the third edition of Howszzat corporate cricket tournament'', organized by Indian Institute of e-business management (IIeBM) in association with Mirchandani group, at the IIeBM complex at Wakad on the Mumbai Pune Highway today.

In the finals, Mather&Platt defeated Anand Group of Industries by 49 runs. Batting first, Mather&Platt scored 89 runs in eight overs while Anand Group of Industries could only manage 40 runs in reply.

The winners received a prize of Rs 10,000 for winning the event.

Mayur Bandekar of Mather and Platt was given the best batsman award, P Mitilesh of Anand Group received the best bowler award, and Manish Desai of Mather and Patt was awarded the man of the series prize.
