MCF Sports Club to host chess festival from May 8 to 13

Mumbai, May 2 (UNI) Mandpeshwar Civic Federation (MCF) Sports Club, in association with Botvinnik Chess Academy, would be hosting the MCF Chess Festival 2007 for the Mumbai Open Chess Championship at MCF Sports Complex here from May 8 to 13.

The tournament has the recognition of the Bombay Chess Association. It would be conducted under the Swiss-League System for a total of 7/9 rounds for Boys&Girls in under-8, under-10 and under-12 categories.

An 'Open Event' for the Mumbai Open Chess Championship would be conducted with a total prize fund of Rs 11750, a release stated here today.
