Bengaluru, February 8: UFC president Dana White says Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor could happen again, but this time it could be only under MMA rules.
Mayweather Jr. dropped a huge hint that he has mixed martial arts on his mind last week when he posted a short clip which showed him stepping into an MMA cage inside a gym.
In August, Mayweather - who came out of retirement boxed McGregor in a big money fight in Las Vegas, which the undefeated boxer Mayweather won via 10th-round TKO to improve his record to 50-0.
The online banter between Mayweather and McGregor created speculations that the pair are in talks for a rematch. And most recently the talks have further heated up, as McGregor's camp announced the Irishman's ready to return to the octagon.

However, White said in an interview with Fox Sports on UFC Tonight that if the rematch is ever going to happen, it's Mayweather's time to fight under McGregor's rules.
"Obviously, he only way making that fight again makes any sense is if he comes over to the Octagon," White said.
"We went over and boxed him, the UFC and Conor McGregor. And now it's time for him to reciprocate and come fight in the Octagon."
"Floyd said leading up to the fight with Conor that he would do both," White said. "So we'll see what happens."
