Misbah-ul-Haq gets one million rupees for Twenty20 show

Lahore, Sep 29 (UNI) Misbah-ul Haq, who almost took the Twenty20 World Cup to Pakistan before being holed out to India's Sreesanth in the final over, has received one million Pakistani Rupee from PepsiCo for his outstanding performance.

Misbah miscued a Joginder Sharama delivery to hole out to the fine leg in the final over with Pakistan needing six runs from four balls in the grand finale in Johannesburg but he was Pakistan's batting mainstay throughout the tournament.

He was the highest run getter for Pakistan, scoring 218 runs from seven innings at an average of 54.50 with two fifties to his kitty.

Complimenting the batsman on receiving the reward, Shafqat Naghmi, COO Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), said Misbah was a talented cricketer who has won the hearts of the people of Pakistan.
