Mixed day for Goa against Jharkhand

Margao, Nov 17 (UNI) Medium-pacer Saurab Bandekar and Robin D'Souza ripped through the Jharkhand batting line-up to bundle them out for a paltry 147, helping Goa to gain an overall lead of 177 runs on the second day of the four-day Ranji Trophy plate 'A' match here today.

Saurab Bandekar and Robin D'Souza took three wickets each, conceding 45 and 41 runs respectively.

Goa scored 134 for four in 35.2 overs in their second innings when umpires called off the play, soon after the tea, due to heavy rain.

At stumps, Ajay Ratra (8) was giving company to Advait Katkar (55). Katkar's 55 run were studded with nine fours.

Earlier, Jhakhand resuming at the overnight score of 77 for four, failed to stick to the wicket and their remaining six wickets fell at regular intervals, adding only 70 runs to the total and were all out for 147 in 53.3 over.

Except Santosh Lal (33), Amir Hasmi (28) no other batsmen made any significnt contribution to the vistors' scoreboard.

Brief Score : Goa (Ist innings) 190 all out Jharkhand (Ist innings) 147 all out.
