MMA Veteran John Lineker Locked In For Another Muay Thai War At ONE Fight Night 27

ONE Championship has announced an epic Muay Thai battle between two lethal power-punchers, as former ONE Bantamweight MMA World Champion John "Hands of Stone" Lineker takes on Thai knockout artist "Left Meteorite" Kulabdam.

The match between the MMA veteran and the seasoned Muay Thai striker will take place on 11 January at ONE Fight Night 27: Tang vs. Abdullaev, broadcasting live from the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

MMA fans around the world are well aware of the Brazilian's mighty hands. He has knocked out some of the biggest names in mixed martial arts, which is why John Lineker is known as "Hands of Stone." But now he's on a different path altogether.

The 34-year-old made his Muay Thai debut this year at ONE 168 against American Asa Ten Pow, knocking him out cold in the second round. After a one-month break, he returned for another bout and this time flattened the dangerous Russian striker Alexey Balyko.

After losing his bantamweight MMA crown to his Brazilian compatriot Fabricio Andrade in 2023, he has been a on tear, defeating some big names in both MMA and Muay Thai.

Securing a third consecutive win won't be an easy task for Lineker because he will be facing someone with a fighting style like his own. ONE veteran Kulabdam can put any opponent to sleep with his devastating left hand.

Two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Kulabdam has been competing in ONE since 2019, boasting a solid record of eight wins in 14 bouts. In his last match, he took out the dangerous Thai fighter in Suablack. "Left Meteorite" will aim to start another winning streak against Lineker.

Meanwhile, another victory against a renowned striker like Kulabdam would make Lineker a threat in the bantamweight Muay Thai division. His style suits Muay Thai in 4-ounce gloves, and he can set his sight for the World Title match in future.
