Mohun Bagan trounce ONGC in I-League round

Kolhapur, Jan 18 (PTI) Edeh Chidi scored a brace asKolkata giants Mohun Bagan trounced hosts ONGC 3-1 in theround 10 I-League match here today.

Ishfaq Ahmed opened the tally for the visitors in the32nd minute. Two minutes later Chidi doubled the lead for thehosts.

N D Opara converted a penalty strike in the 43rd minutefor ONGC as the teams went into the break with the scorereading 2-1 in favour of the visitors.

However, Opara''s strike in the 89th minute completelydashed any hopes the hosts might have had of saving the matchand rounded of Bagan''s fourth win of the tournament.

Following the win, Bagan have 14 points from 10 matches,while ONGC, who suffered their fifth loss today, have onlyseven from as many matches.
